Finding the Thermostat Identifier (thermostatId)

The thermostatId for a physical ecobee thermostat will match the Serial # on the Thermostat. It can be found in any of the following locations:

1. From the Thermostat user interface

   1. tap the Main Menu icon on the thermostat, it should look like 3 horizontal bar/lines
   2. tap on About
   3. the Serial # will match the thermostatId in the API

2. Under the Thermostat backplate

   1. open the backplate on the physical device
   2. the Serial # should be printed here

3. On the box of the Thermostat packaging
